(251230) -- HEFEI, Dec. 30, 2025 (Xinhua) -- A drone photo taken on Dec. 30, 2025 shows a train running on a bridge crossing the Huaihongxin River of the Hefei-Xinyi high-speed railway in east China's Anhui Province. The Hefei-Sixian section of the Hefei-Xinyi high-speed railway was officially put into operation on Tuesday, marking the opening of another fast passenger line between Hefei City and eastern Anhui Province. The Hefei-Xinyi high-speed railway starts from Hefei West Railway Station in Hefei, and terminates at Xinyi East Railway Station in Xinyi City of Jiangsu Province. Spanning approximately 335 kilometers and with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the railway is being constructed in phases. The newly-opened section of the railway stretches 198 kilometers, setting five newly-built stations, namely Hefei West, Dingyuan East, Mingguang West, Wuhe, and Sixian East railway stations.
